Holistic Naturopath (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. As a provider of health services in Australia, we handle health information with special care as sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We collect information necessary to provide health assessments and clinical services:
- Identity & Contact Details: Name, email address, and phone number.
- Sensitive Health Information:
- Answers provided in online assessments/quizzes (e.g., symptoms, digestion, energy, stress levels).
- Clinical notes, medical history, and lifestyle factors shared during consultations.
- Functional testing and pathology results you provide to us or authorise us to obtain.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns via cookies/analytics to improve site performance.
2) How We Collect Your Information
We collect information directly from you when you submit a quiz, book an appointment, purchase from our shop, or contact us. We do not collect your health information from third parties without your knowledge and consent (unless permitted or required by law).
3) Purpose of Collection and Use
We use your information to:
- Analyse and deliver your personalised quiz results and recommended next steps.
- Provide naturopathic consultations and ongoing support.
- Process payments, manage bookings, and administer your customer dashboard.

No selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, including sensitive health information.
Marketing: We do not use your sensitive health information for third-party advertising. We only send marketing emails if you have explicitly opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

By completing an online assessment/quiz, intake form, or providing health details during a consultation, you provide express consent for us to collect, store, use, and disclose your health information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time; however, this may limit our ability to provide certain results or services.

5) Disclosures to Third Parties
We only disclose personal information to third parties where it is necessary to operate our site and deliver services, such as:

- Form/quiz processing: Web3Forms (secure form submission delivery).
- Payments/eCommerce: Stripe / PayPal / WooCommerce-related providers.
- Email communications: Our email and website systems used to respond to enquiries and deliver results.
6) Overseas Data Storage (Data Sovereignty)
Some service providers we use may store or process personal information on servers located outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles the information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
By providing your information, you acknowledge that overseas recipients may be subject to different privacy laws. We select providers carefully and assess privacy/security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

7) Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including SSL encryption and access controls. We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Clinical records: Retention requirements can vary by state/territory and professional obligations. As a general guide, clinical records are commonly retained for at least 7 years from the last contact for adults, and longer for children/young people.
Quiz-only data: Quiz submissions that do not lead to a clinical relationship are deleted or de-identified after [Insert period, e.g., 24 months], unless we are required to retain certain records by law.
8) Your Rights: Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. You may also request deletion of your quiz data at any time, subject to any legal or legitimate requirements to retain certain records. We aim to respond within a reasonable time (generally within 30 days).
